This pdf file contains a comparison of the same four Tarot cards but from 4 different decks – the Rider-Waite Deck; The Shadowscapes Tarot Deck; the Illuminati Tarot Deck; and the Thoth Tarot Deck. According to a recent conversation that occurred in a Tarot-related Facebook Group that I belong to, a large number of professional Tarot Readers will look at the Death card in a Tarot Deck that they are not familiar with, in order to obtain a ‘feel’ for the deck before they decide to buy the deck. As you can see from this comparison of the 7 decks, the image portrayed, and the meaning generated, in the Death Card can vary wildly, depending on the deck. If the link in the image does not work, you can download the pdf file through this link: Comparisons of the Death Card

Comparing the 8, 9, and 10 Cards from each of the 4 Minor Arcana suits in the Rider Waite Deck

An interesting thing about the Minor Arcana cards. These cards all represent a creative process related to various happenings in our everyday lives – getting a new job, starting a new relationship, starting a business, etc. – that we go through, starting with the Ace as the beginning, through various ups and downs to the 10, which is the ending of the process, at which point we begin again with a new. With the suit of Cups (emotions, feelings, intuition, etc) and the suit of Pentacles (physical resources, our skills and talents, financial resources, etc) the more we have of these, the better off we are. If you notice, the images on the 8, 9, and 10 cards of the Minor Arcana usually reflect this process. However, for the suit of Swords (thoughts, ideas, concepts, beliefs. etc) and the suit of Wands (passions, ambitions, goals, etc) the more of these we have usually ends up leaving us overwhelmed and stressed, unable to easily move forward, and this is what tends to be reflected in the images on the 8, 9, and 10 Minor Arcana cards for these two suits. This comparison chart shows how distinct the images on the 8, 9, and 10 cards on the 4 Minor Arcana suits are in displaying these messages in the Rider Waite Tarot Deck.
